World Language Options for Incoming 6th Graders
Attention 5th Grade Parents:
Both Kaposia Education Center and Lincoln Center Elementary are International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program (PYP) schools. As 5th grade students transition to South St. Paul Secondary, they will become participants in the IB Middle Years Program (MYP) in grades 6-10. The MYP exposes students to multiple subject area, one of which is the opportunity to learn Chinese, French or Spanish. Incoming 6th grade students will have to choose a world language during registration in January. Keep in mind, students will remain in this language throughout the MYP program and into the Diploma Program if that is the path they choose.
World language teachers explain more about the world language options in the following video:

Seesaw Student Driven Digital Portfolios
Never ask: "what did you do at school today?" again when you sign up for parent access to your child's digital portfolio. Your child will independently document what they're learning at school. They can add photos and videos or physical work or they can also add digital creations. Teachers approve items for the portfolio. Once you've been approved to have access to your child's portfolio, you'll receive notifications anytime anything is added. Sign up now to see what your child is learning! Parent access is FREE! Get Seesaw for your device. Click here for more information.
ParentVUE is a safe and secure way for parents to access information about their children; monitor and support their academic success; and enhance school-to-home communication. Parents need to come to the office with a picture ID to obtain their activation key code.
