Student Reading Assessment Test
Before the school year begins, we ask that your child meets with their homeroom teacher to diagnose their Reading level. áThis assessment will allow staff to identify specific strengths and possible areas that may require literacy support. áOn Friday, September 4, students will be invited to come to school to take the test. áPlease go to the following link to sign up for an assessment slot:

The 2015-2016 student school supply list may be viewed by going to Parents/Students and Elementary School Supply Lists on the district home page.
KEC Open House
Our back-to-school night will be held on Thursday, September 3 from 4:30 - 6:30 PM.á Students may come and meet their teachers and drop off their school supplies.á Information packets will be mailed home to all families in August.
Minnesota Reading Corps
Would you love to help children grow their reading skills? succeed in school and get extra support?

If your answer is yes, you can be trained to serve
as a tutor with Minnesota Reading Corps atá
KaposiaáEducation Center!

In addition to extensive training, tutors will receive on-site support from speciallyátrained school mentors.

Tutors come from many backgrounds and include recent high school and college grads, career changers, stay-at-home parents and retirees. Tutors earn a living allowance (biweekly before taxes: $544 for full time member/ $272 for part-time member), educational award ($5,730 for full time member/ $2,865 for part-time member), federal student loan forbearance, and other benefits.
